My first question is how serious you are in Woodworking para mag take ka pa ng class? There are enough information sa Internet to get you started, however, the information you will find on the internet will also cause you more and more confusion, why? these guys who posted, uploaded, share, brag, profit, scam etc.. what ever you call it, have different approach, opinions tips and technique that often will confuse instead of educate others. But there's also information that is realible and will get you going. Bottom line, you need to find the tutorial that really help.
Second is, what level are you in right now? alam mo ba gumamit ng martilyo, lagare pait etc. Next is how do you want to do it? Traditional approach like chisel, katam, lagare etc. or Power tools like power saw , router, jointer etc. or mixed of both. You need to think of this ahead para di ka magastusan ng kakabili ng tools buy what you need lang. I'm sure this thread will get you started.

ako naman I learned through youtube woodworkers channel.

you will also learn from experience naman on how to do things or what approach you want to use para sa project.

basta pag may bago kang tools research muna and ingat palagi mga daliri.

para sakin it doesnt matter if upuan lang or cabinet ang gusto nya gawin, gusto nya mag take ng class for his own reason. Baka mas maging confident sya starting with classes e. Mas maganda nga kung mag start sya dun. That way di sya mag spend money buying expensive tools just to try it out.

for starter tools , i would recommend a jigsaw, drill /screw driver, sander, circular saw.

off topic, ano kaya itinuturo sa tesda? For sure may small projects yun, like making a box. Just to get you started

Heh heh.. this is funny... di ko naman sinasabing mali mag tanong boggieman. ang point lang naman ni Ossie is di mo sinagot yung tanong. Thats it.

Why would you even ask those question, ikaw ba yung mag tuturo sa kanya? Interview ba?  Let the school decide kung ano level sya dapat.

Napakasimpleng bagay e kailangan pa ng mga ganyang comment just to show your point.subukan nyo mag BABOY? Ang matatanda mahirap na turuan? Hanep sa banat.

Mag ingat ka Boggieman, maraming matatanda dito sa Forum na ito hehehe I am only 41, ikaw ano age mo? May I know your accomplishments in life?

once i answered a question in this forum with a question din..then i felt remorseful sa naging sagot ko...instead na makatulong, i shunned the person.
we can still count the membership in this house...everybody should be welcomed and accomodated no matter how basic (or stupid) their queries are. for once, we were like them naman (i am not saying i am a master of this or that)...

afaik, i do not know of any woodworking courses here in Pinas except for apprenticeship siguro sa mga furniture makers...
what i am looking are schools of furniture building...or school of woodworking and applied design....yung tipong 1 year ang course...

we talked about this many times before here in this forum...there was a thread on this...but just like a spark, it died almost instantly...kasi since we have day jobs, walang serious na mag put up ng ganitong school...bukod sa gastos and big space...and also generally no one wants to pay "exorbitantly" for some handmade fine piece of furniture.
siguro, since we are just hobbyists, we simply cannot afford to resign from our day jobs and just rely on the compensation out of our woodworks..unless si Benjie Reyes ka...
but i have been ruminating about these thoughts for the longest time.
i am simply powerless at the moment.
its just wishful thinking.

btw, i only know of sam maloof, george nakashima, paul wellers, becksvoort to name a few to be some kind of masters in their craft....and they are quite old...and yes they are already hard to teach to try "new" techniques...they love their "old" techniques that "young" enthusiasts would like to copy (and improve)...

I am new here and I want to learn woodworking...

"how serious you are in Woodworking para mag take ka pa ng class?" --> Doesn't help. What's important is I want to learn.

"...the information you will find on the internet will also cause you more and more confusion... brag, profit, scam etc ... will confuse instead of educate others" --> no help either. Even discouraging.

"... you need to find the tutorial that really help..." --> exactly the reason why I posted in the first place.

"...alam mo ba gumamit ng martilyo, lagare pait etc." --> still doesn't help. Somewhat insulting.

"...I'm sure this thread will get you started." --> that's what I was hoping, but I got discouraged by the reply. I'll just find another forum where people are helpful.

Funny sir that is all your opinion wag mo sana i assume na yan ang pag iisip nung tao.

From my point of view.

My first question is how serious you are in Woodworking para mag take ka pa ng class?>>>>>> If Testserver00 replied di masyado kasi may day job ako pero gusto ko matutunan basic, san ba ko magsisimula???
