Where did you get your PZ bit? I guess I'm using a PH because it always skips. Eventually the PH bit gets damaged.

adzz, that screw is available at To Suy and other screw stores sa Binondo. Price depends on the length. Ranges from less than a peso to 3 pesos a piece.

Its good for plywood but maybe not for MDF. For MDF the best is the confirmat screw:

I learned that, in boatbuilding, bronze Frearson screws have become the most commonly used. Frearson heads look similar to Philips but the X is cut deeper and has no play in the center allowing better "grip" if used with the right bit. One can use a Philips driver on a Frearson head but lose its advantage.

Nice find Joey ... nothing beats having the right info when you need it.

I always have a hard time finding my book marks so I just print good info like this to a PDF file and store in my Technical Info folder.
