Good day guys! i have a project this week, a WWII US ration crate, and i was wondering where do you guys get your Palochina softwood? preferably in planks? by the way, i live in Las Pinas city. i can see some palochina furniture makers in zapote but i reckon they'll sell me some planks. I plan on using the crates for storing my military gear collection. for reference, the crates that im gonna build looks like this:
Will update and post pictures once i finished this build! thanks PHM! 🙂

Re: WWIII Ration crate build question
your thread title got me freakin out!
no matter where you get your palo china, it should sell around 20-30PHP per kilo depending on the dimensions.

Re: WWIII Ration crate build question
I get mine from Binangonan: Palo China City. But that's a world away from you.
Don't forget to have your palo china kiln-dried properly. I worked with lots of palo china in my youth and all of them tend to shrink, creating gaps in the joints. That's because these scrap wood are usually wet; either sap-wet or from the elements.
