Re: Xmas give away project

I've recently seen an AWFS 2009 video on the simple Oneida cyclonic separator. This would also be a good thing to compare with the PT buffle design

That (the oneida) is what I am talking about. Simple lang and adaptable sa mga regular vacs sa bahay. Yung lang the container should have been much bigger. There are DIYs sa net re: cyclone type dust extractor which is a bigger version of Jarod's pic. Maybe it's a good idea to import one and copy/fabricate here locally. It is a necessity at pogi points pa sa mga ex-gf.

Re: Xmas give away project

it takes so much of my time to change to dado blade... about 40 seconds. kasi binabalik ko pa sa casing yung mga blades eh... 😀

Timber you're an expert in making box/dovetail joints. What do you think if you joint the box that way? Just thinking about the dark color of the end grains once it is stained to give more matching effect on the tiles. Just a thought.

A thinsmith could easy fabricate that I believe and just add some reinforcements here and there. Unless may interested mag acrylic bending 😀

I guess those are industrial blowers used in some other purpose. The motor/vacuum part of the dust separator is wider to house a much wider impeller blade. It will not only suck saw dust but also wood bits and shavings. Anyway the most important and difficult thing to do is the fabrication of the impeller blade. Should be balance at high RPM. the housing and the cyclone separator can be fabricated by a master tinsmith.

Did you follow the same thickness of the side panels (1/2"). Looking at the pic, it looks thicker. Anyway 1/2 won't worked with a bsicuit cutter , it will cut through it. the second best thing aside from box/dovetails, is what you just did, the spline!

Re: Xmas give away project

what makes it difficult is the size of the box being very smallish. its about 4 x 8 x 2.5 inches lang... 😀

Re: Xmas give away project

Ganda naman! Actually sa unang tingin parang malaking box na makapal lang yung sides.

*kawawa naman yung racket, inaalikabukan lang ng wood dust 😀
