Re: Bosch 4100-09 Tablesaw, finally we are four, anymore?
I may someday go into hyper-build-frenzy and do stands for the drill-press, miter saw, router table)
that is the way to go..the wb and drill press need not be of the same height...my wb a little bit higher

now my table saw stand is seamless with the miter saw, rt and thicknesser..much easier to work.

jayL gave me a tip to add a 5th non locking caster in the middle of the table.

i recall 32" ang table height ko...

then build an outfeed table...kulang pa sa left side yung sa akin eh.

Maybe title should be made generic? I'd be wary of claiming a count unless qualified by, say, 'reported'. Probably unknowable how many units of this table saw have been brought into the country so far, given unavailability from Bosch PH. With no info from Bosch PH as to if or when it might make up its mind, I could no longer wait and got one last year.

Table saw in once upon a time, never to be seen again pristine condition.

Half a year later, the top is all scratched up. It looks like the aluminum top scratches more readily than say a cast iron top.

I believe you don't have to be an engineer to know that, mine has scratches from unseen nails on reclaimed wood or even staple wire at the ends of brand new plywood.

no need to think much about the title since I do the counting and changing :D. Besides, we are not keeping a tab of how many there are in our country but it is good to know who has them when information is needed.

Re: Bosch 4100-09 Tablesaw, five and very alive

Mine is a few days old and the top is scratched already. I think it's painted, which would be a silly idea for a working surface.

Also, the pushstick has a gouge already.:(

you use the pushstick kasi to push, not to test the blade 😀
yes, the top is painted (seems powder coated) to provide lesser resistance imho. but mine got its first scratch after 3 months out of stupidity. I made a jig with a screw head sticking out just a fraction . but all is well, and since then the use has been better. I don't treat it like a baby anymore kasi 😀

Re: Bosch 4100-09 Tablesaw, five and very alive

It's about $15 more expensive. I like the way the aluminum bars can be used as a handle to lug it around. But, since I'd be using mine screwed down to it's dedicated table, the handles would be no advantage. I can see this new one would be good for those contractors who heft equipment to worksites.
