I had mine shipped by Forex Cargo for $175, all in.

if the store you got it from comes from the same location you intend to ship it to, you will get taxed in the US. order the item in Ca and ship it to a forwarder from another state, that way you don't get taxed...
the easiest way is to order it from me. hehehe but it would be much cheaper to order it yourself, of course you get the hassle that go with it....

Wait for a sale in Amazon. You probably will not find the 4100 cheaper than $399 with free stateside shipping. However be prepared to act quickly as the sale will not last long if it comes.

Did you guys try the forex cargo or charity? We usually have 2 to 3 box every quarter from hawaii. They usually charge 50$-80$ per balikbayan box. They dont charge for the weight, but for the dimension. Is there other cheapoh cargo from mainland?

1041 sells at $449 at home depot but has a different saw size (7 1/4"). Is this the same 4100 with just this smaller saw attached?

Mostly the same prices ...

I use this service now because their website is easier to operate and they have dedicated personnel to handle import needs. I ship mostly new items through them. However for used or second hand stuff I ship to my cousin in Illinois because the forwarder will not test / double check the goods prior to shipping. They can only consolidate.

For purchases that need US Credit cards they will order but will charge 5% on top of the total online bill.

When the 4100 table is fully extended to the right there is a gap in between. Anybody thought about making a mod to fit in a router in that space?

it would deteriorate the extension mechanism of the saw faster. not recommended...
