i routed the ends of the front trim but no sanding yet...twas late in the day..need to rout the edge with a flush trim bit horizonatally using the gmr1 na lang siguro..planing it could scrape the red table top finish.

i wasnt happy with the routed ends kasi it has a shoulder instead of just rounded and they are sharp.

parang ang pangit ng black screwheads showing off! i am planning to plug it with fula tite before the finish.. hmmm pag sinipag.

ty for cleaning up this forum..still experimenting how to post new thread and or to post pics..hmmm much better here bro..

though i made my own zero clearance adjustable crosscut sled, id like to make a zci using a 1/2 inch mdf...pwede na ba mdf dun?

yours i think is a solid wood...but it would be best to have those blank plates!

made my zci using 1/2" plywood., medyo mahirap gumawa for the Bosch table, it has a rabbet on the side and would preferably need hold downs at the end. remember, kickback starts at the back portion of the blade, I think it is best to have that hold downs there...
Yes, I agree that this is where we should be...I will try to get the decent ones to move here without attracting the children... lol. btw, baka you are interested in the desk?

I don't see any risers? How are you going to fit the dust pan drawer under the saw or did you make a hole where the dust will fall?

I tried the ZCI. It just makes more dust fly instead of falling down. Unless specifically needed I prefer the stock one.

BTW I think my blade is dulling now. I tried to rip some 2 x 2s and the saw seems to be making more effort to do it. I'll go with V's suggestion to use a thin kerf blade to help ease the motor.

Opps not yet. I will do that and probably take the saw off the base and maintain it too.

it is sitting there temporarily to see how high will be the risers...i am thinking of just the 18mm mdf..good clearance enough for the dust pan...is it ok jay not to bolt the TS on the table?looks like the weight of the 4100 and the skidproof acrylic (siliconized) paint i used are enough to glue it.

hehe..thats the beauty of the zci....most if not all of the dust will be airborne now! haha! why not design a big acrylic dust shroud instead?

Can the vacuum hose be moved to the front? I think that's where most of the dust is coming from.
