front outfeed table for Bosch 4100
@timber/jayL
i am not sure if there was a topic elsewhere discussing about making an outfeed table for the bosch 4100 TS...i am aware of the extension table you made out of aluminum tubes but not of a true outfeed table.
as you know, i have an outfeed table (for deWalt cabinet saw) and installed it on the right side of the 4100 and it worked just fine but recently due to shop rearrangement, i would like to install this outfeed support on the front portion...installation on both right and left sides were easy since the outfeed table i used came with hardwares like angled flat irons that can be bolted to the 4100's cast aluminum table but not on the front since this portion is occupied by the moving fence attachment system (?).
my build for this purpose is the attachment of wooden battens to the sides of the plastic cabinet of the table saw where the outfeed table can then be attached.
i do not know if you are tinkering of a better idea for this purpose.
hope you can share.
thanks in advance.

Re: front outfeed table for Bosch 4100
I don't have TS support but all my stuff are of the same height. RT , TS, WB. I just re position as support is required. I can also fabricate for the Saw Horses to be fitted with a support table but have not found the need yet.
Probably Timber can give a better idea.

Re: front outfeed table for Bosch 4100
thanks bro for the quick reply.
to write it again..the front i am referring to is where the dc port is located..i one magazine article, the back/rear they are referring to points to the "front" where we face the blade, miter entrance and on/off button.

bosch 4100 table saw dust port
i found out that a 65mm pvc coupling can be an alternative to fit the dust port of the 4100...
which will accept the zekoki 45mm diameter vacuum hose.
surprisingly, still a lot of wood dust are flying here and there...gotta build the "over the top of the blade" dust port that timber made for his 4100!
but no energy anymore

Re: bosch 4100 table saw dust port
btw...here is the attached outfeed table (originally intended for the dewalt DW746 cabinet saw..
fastened two pieces of square aluminium bar at the tail end of the 4100 table.
and attached to the outfeed table support flange with a wingnut.
the zekoki vacuum's height is just an inch smaller than the bottom of the outfeed table.whew!
but like i said, i wasnt happy at all with the percentage of dust collected.

Re: bosch 4100 table saw dust port
the under the table DC should improve with the use of a zci doc, but on top, there is just no way out but to build a blade guard collector...
you can do it naman thats for sure.

Re: bosch 4100 table saw dust port
@timber,
the zci's are still intact..hehe
but surely, i need a close inspection of your blade guard dc port mod!
😉

Pogi talaga 4100. Among the tools I purchased this saw is arguably the one where in I'm 100% satisfied.

@V
That outfeed support is way way better than the one we can buy from Bosch. So many times I planned and had chance to get the Bosch extensions but I can't seem to justify since my RT table positioned same way as your outfeed does the job so well.

@jay,
at that final resting place, my 4100 now has a very limited capacity for ripping long stocks...and no way it can occupy the center of a 9' x 12' woodshop.:mad:
