let us start with the tool case design...
while I do enjoy using a compact case, this one is not...

but that is a good thing for me. I have had several drills in my lifetime and most of the cases that housed them have no room for anything else, meaning, if you needed to bring drill bits, you have to bring it in another container. the GSR 14.4-2-LI case had the space which was perfect for my drill bit set, what are the odds for that?

Since I received the Drill/Driver, I have been using it for my projects. drilling pocket screw holes here and there (about 100 holes lang naman)...

and take note, these pocket screw holes are on 1 1/2" thick wood which means deeper holes...

the number 2 settings for speed which is on top of the drill body provided the speed I needed to drill these angled holes clean and without bogging down...

and 2 1/2" screws to drive in...

this is set at the no. 1 setting for torque and control. at this setting speed is not the factor but the torque needed for driving self tapping screws on soft and hard materials. it is also the ideal settin when drilling into hard materials like metal...

eversince I used Bosch's powertool electronic switches, I have always been facinated with the control it provides. this DD is no different. you can control the speed of drilling or driving simply by pressing harder or softer on the trigger. stops instantly so you don't damage screws of the hardwares you are installing... and on top of the trigger is a direction of rotation switch. clockwide or counter clockwise, control and power is the same.

as the previous DD models of Bosch the GSR41.4-2-LI sports an LED light which actually works.

the belt clip is handy when doing ceiling or wall work and in the bench, it makes storing easy..

the battery, well all I can say about it is it is light and will not run out of power. enough said...

takes approx. 45 minutes for a full charge. and with an extra battery that runs as long, who's rushing for a full charge?
If I was given a choice to have one and only one drill/driver, this is my first and only choice.

I almost forgot, this drill has 16 clutch settings for driving in screws, I normally have my drill set at 5 for screws 2 inch long... people seldom notice, but this feature IS very important and useful.
and a drill setting which locks the clutch in place.

another thing, this drill uses a keyless chuck, which makes changing bits or drivers a breeze, plus you won't lose the chuck key (imagine having a drill without a way of locking the drill bit?)...
