the asking price of Bosch is 43,000 pesos. It is best to come up with the numbers in order for Bosch to facilitate the possibility of discounting.
I know we wont get any definite answers as to who will concretely get the TS but at least it will give Bosch, notably Golden a better number to work with

i bought a craftsman table saw and a Hamada Band saw last week. so far so good ako with the TS that i bought cause i really need one na talaga to get my bed project started on.
funny thing is i have been practicing doing some cutting on the TS and the Band Saw and still havent started on the bed.
i just remembered, i still need a plainer thicknesser before i can start on it. i have one na but still waiting to have to have it calibrated and change motor cause right now and naka set up sa kanya is 3phase 7HP, i want mga 3hp lang na single phase motor.

I think Bosch came in late on this now as most of us have table saws already. I would have considered a local purchase if I didn't have one. The US price of the 4100 had increased and I reckon a landed cost of around 32K so at 40K or less this gts 10 looks attractive.
4100 = 110V and will need a step down transformer
Does this gts 10 model have kickback pawls?

nope Jay, it doesn't have the riving knife, safety fork and the anti-kick-back pawls...

In that case the 4100 will still be my choice even if it's a 110V model.

I really agree with this Jay, safety is always a concern for everyone to consider. but price is the major factor that I can see here. Bosch will not get big numbers of these since market seems small yet imho, but special orders only. if your shop is already equipped with 110V already, then the option of spending extra for the step-down transformer becomes mute and the choice obvious. as of our last conversation (with Golden) he mentioned that he is also getting prices for the 4100, lets wait and see what our options are, certainly I would recommend the 4100 without question....

Between what Makita offers locally and this gts-10 I would definitely choose the latter. The table top and fence are superior.

Sure looks like a great saw. I'm a sucker for big discounts but be that as it may I honestly could not afford it even if it were at a 50% discount ... saving up to build the "BIG" boat. If a few years from now someone decides to upgrade, please keep me in mind 🙂
