What is exactly your expected load or usage? If you are a weekend warrior then a light to medium duty saw is for you. If you are expecting to use it later for business orders then i suggest you focus on medium to heavy duty models. As a pro woodworker contractor my choices are these brands but in no particular order or rating...Makita, Bosch, Metabo, Skil, AEG, Hitachi and some imported tools from the US and Europe like Festool, Milwaukee, etc. I have tried a bunch of brands that represent ASIAN manufacturers you may have heard or encountered but it was a waste of money on products that do not have decent after sales warranty. Spend your budget on a decent one so you won't have to spend more on buying replacements later when the cheap ones break down.

Re: Circular saw help.

HI bro ruel_g,

Like what I said in my previous post, its ok to buy this Australian surplus if it will be used only occasionally but if for production purposes better stick or settle for the known brands that are available locally. If you are asking about the JCK brand, I presume the K stands for KAWASAKI, ask the seller of supplier if they have an after sales service if in case something goes wrong with the unit or if the unit carries a warranty. This seems to be a new brand in the market now and plenty in the Binondo area and at sulit.

If I were you, I'll stick with Makita, Bosch, DeWALT, or their small DIY brothers like Maktek, Skil, or Black&Decker for production use. Or you may also settle with AEG or Hitachi brands. You will be assured of a warranty and have a service center here in our country and parts are available as well.

Bro there is a saying, "you get what you pay for", perhaps the price of two or three surplus Ozitos will already get you one of the good brands that I have mentioned and will last you years of use and peace of mind for your ROI in your business.

Think about it well bro !!! 🙂 😉

Pls remember that portable circular saws are not meant for inverted use. manufacturers do not advise this and will void warranties. Safety wise it is also advised to set up a track saw for your purpose instead of your tistisan plan. There are many a different ways to make a track saw guide. Try to review old posts and see if you can find the ones designed by fellow members. If it is a table saw you need then why not assemble a shaft driven one just like those in Taytay. My first table saw was a kalabaw model I made and used for 10 years. It is because of that home made table saw that I was able to build my arsenal of woodworking equipments. I still have it in my shop as a reminder of how I started.

Re: Circular saw help.

You may ask Joey81. He might be selling his Chin Table saw. Affordable and safer than under table mounted CS.
