there is another option. you can check Yale in Recto, I saw once a Columban WW vise there selling around 5.5k kaya lang the vise opening is very limited compared to a Record...

why not get a 52 1/2 record at Panda as well Ding, it is what I use on my wb or you can even get the 53 model, which is slightly bigger and what Jay uses......

no it is not the same, the one you posted is the quick release model. not available locally.

Notice the bar connecting the ends of the rods. I reckon this is a must for stability and is not included in the Irwin Record sold locally. I'm planning to do a mod on my Record 53 and install that.

If I am not mistaken Anant is Indian made.

IF I'm going to drop some cash on a workbench vise then I'd think twice before getting an Indian Anant. Probbaly better to search ebay for orig used stuff or New Old Stock. If Anant is the other choice then I'd probably stick with the Irwin 53 that panda sells ( cheaper too ). Actually mine works ok except for the missing quick release which would make things more convenient.

The Wiltons in the link you posted seems good. I just don't know if these are still US Made.

This is not exactly a clamp but I found this very useful in holding down strip blanks in my boat project.

Got it at DIY in Eastwood mall for P150 each. I'm sure many of you would find it useful especially when gluing boxes.

yes its available at ROBINSONS handyman and they've got plenty stocks there, bought a couple of medium lenght and long ones a few weeks back.
