Anyone know where to buy diamond drill bits and hole saws, and what is the cost range? Any recommended brands?

Re: Diamond drill bits and hole saws

Most Depots like Wilcon, Mc, Ace etc. carry holesaws and should carry diamond drill bits.

But best is to call them before goin. I needed a mandrel for my tile hole cutting bit. Which Wilcon .. at that time was freshly out 🙁

without a doubt Panda would be cheaper 🙂

Re: Diamond drill bits and hole saws

Thanks. One more thing to add to the 'Panda' shopping list.

I don't remember seeing any diamond bits or diamond hole saws in the Wilcons or mall/depots, maybe just haven't been looking carefully.

diamond hole saws, Wilcon has. you have to ask the sales folks at the power tools section.. these are 4K a pop for the monolith brand i think. Rubi is also another brand but i forget the price. these are for drilling holes through porcelain tiles and what not.

as for the drill bit , i never bothered looking ehhehe

+ 1 on Panda. They carry a good ole USA Made brand MK Morse. I saw some cobalt hole saws but did not inquire about diamond ones.

If you are not in a hurry Timber has a shipment coming from Florida. You can order from him.

I've been eying these for a while now but have not decided yet.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not in a hurry, I can make do with the spade/arrow bits for tile in the meantime. My list is long so I'd rather not bother timber. 🙂 I will just wait until next trip.

Still haven't checked with Panda but if the prices are anywhere near the Wilcon P4K/piece that bee mentioned, I will most likely defer to US purchase.

importer405: Diamond usually used for for ceramic tile, glass, granite, porcelain...

Re: Diamond drill bits and hole saws

I was uninitiated once and used a masonry bit on a spanish tor italian tile i think. One hole took me 2 bits...... and countless calories 🙂

And lately some high end china tiles are built just as tough.... hmmmm

Re: Diamond drill bits and hole saws

The most popular set is this 5-Piece Diamond Drill Bit Set. These can be used on glass, masonry, marble, or concrete. These are super duty products made of nickel plated high speed still with diamond tips. These work better than the twist design you normally see because it allows greater surface area on the diamonds which means your cutting will be precise and reasonably quick.
