Hi glen1234s, You buy the biscuits instead of doing it. The problem now is the scarcity wherein you are forced to buy abroad or find locally that fits the bill.

Re: finally got myself a biscuit joiner

HI Glen, I HAFELE used to have them. kaso wala na daw ngayon.

I got mine from Mayon Construction. at 600++ per 100 pcs... medyo mahal

The biscuits are special in the sense that these are compressed high density beech wood( or birch? cant remember which one). So when it comes in contact with water based glue, it will increase in volume, making the joint tighter.

i havent used mine yet ( a bad habit of mine, when i acquire a tool.. it will take me months before actually using them)

right now, i realized i have improved somewhat so i am thinking na loose tenon joinery can replace biscuit joining.

I plan to make frames din, biscuit joining the miter edges is probably the easiest way to go

Gentlemen,

I got my biscuits from the U.S. for about $28.00 for a thousand pcs. (Amazon). Which translates to about Php1.30@. Ben, why don't you order through Timber when he brings in another box from the U.S.
