would you believe that you can make dadoes and grooves with your circular saw and an edge guide? You can clean them pristine if you have chisels too...
I suggest you use your imagination and the tools you have can be used for so much more....

What he says is true. But Timb .... it is so much easier and faster to make dadoes when having a router.

Please note that the Skil router that will be released locally is Variable Speed. Its Maktec counterpart is not Variable speed and for a sub 6K price and the gleaming review of Balarila. It is probably the best entry level router and should suffice you for months to come

The next closest thing to the skil's price and fearture is a Maxsell ( STAY AWAY FROm THIS) and second hand Ryobi (Hit and miss ito, kasi second hand)

i am getting one without hesitation when Skil starts to have them on the shelves 🙂

On the Skil Router, I still have the demo unit. Sana nakalimutan na ni Golden. With Golden's permission, I'd be happy to "lend" it to people here who want to try it. How about it, Golden?

No, no, no!

I have the Maktec. It's good and solid. But the Skil just handles much better. I'm probably like many of the people here who are weekend woodworkers and I think the Skil would suit me fine.
