there are even some in T. Alonso and almost got a Hitachi router myself for the price. some of their models are highly liked in the USA. just be sure they are rated at 60Hz cause I know some of their models as 50Hz only... I suggest when you find one, get the model and do your homework on it. If you thing the specs are to your liking then pull the trigger... take your time deciding and think it over at least five times before you do... what powertool in particular do you have in mind?
cheers

choose between Makita's 3612 and 3612C. the 3612 iirc should cost a tad less than 15K, which would cost just about the same as the Hitachi's. imo, the hitachi routers run a bit on the rough side, but thats just my opinion. always best to check and get what makes you feel comfortable. try them out before buying any so that you will know what is right and what you want... most stores will let you run them anyway, just give it a whirl...

Using an old hitachi Koki Cordless drill here. I inherited it from my uncle who works in sydney. Still in good condition. Battery life seems shorter now (does anybody know where i can get hitachi batteries). The kit comes with a flashlight also.

Weight-Plunge Base: 9.9 lbs

TIA!

Re: hitachi powertools?

hello masters, I thought I might see some posts about HITACHI power tools. I was about to purchase a MAKITA drill 6016, the price is a little less than HITACHI B16RM drill press and since I already have a MAKITA NHP1300S hammer drill I thought might be worth considering a drill press instead. I checked the reviews about this baby...and asked the engineer of the main distributor, gave me some positive input...and here she is...any comments about this DP will be highly appreciated....salamat mga masters

Re: hitachi powertools?

Congratulations on your new tool Bro V- Max.

Let us know how it performs and the price. I'm sure a lot of other members would be interested in having drill presses.

Re: hitachi powertools?

thank you sir JayL, it's a brand new DP and I got it for SR.1,520.00,that's around P17,600...she's on her way home (from KSA) and it will take about 45 days to reach my place.it is made in china and i just hope it will work fine, quite noisy though or maybe it's just a normal sound of DP. I haven't tried to use one before:confused:.
