One only has to try a "true" Japanese pull saw to fully realize that its a far more superior saw. 1,700 pesos is a worth while investment IMO. Stays sharp and cuts clean comparable to a 60 tooth Dewalt cross cut blade in my experience.
However I have only this saw to base my remarks. A double sided Shark Saw. One side for Rip and one other side for Cross cut. Two saws in one.
A Dozuki is on my short list. The OP was the one who introduced me to Jap Pull Saws in this forum a few years ago.
