Re: Jet JWP-12 thicknesser first impressions
progress review:
I have been using the thicknesser quite often lately. I noticed there is an alignment issue and my board are 0.5mm thinner on one side than the other. It doesnt really bother me at all though. The snipe thing is resolved as per suspicion of Timber. Just need to do some gentle handiwork on the outfeed. I never get snipe at the tip of the board. only the back.
The crank is smooth to operate but the springs do have some noise due to tension tigtening and or releasing. its more of a freaky noise than anything else.
Thing is heavy and solid as would any other thicknesser
Paint job has some chips, aesthetics only
The inside stainless steel (or chrome plated) base ) has play. i have yet to address this
There are sdjustments for the infeed and outfeed folding table. Adjustments for angle, for the height i havent figured it out yet.
i am very happy with this purchase of 14K. Veering off topic sort of.. i wish my TS performed this well~!!~~!! 🙂
