Greetings!

newbie here in this forum... I'm planning on getting a jigsaw & saw a couple for sale on fb. Got a limited budget & this is for light use only.
Which is a better buy? A Hoyoma (green, grey is the HD one I believe) or a Talon jigsaw? The green hoyoma and talon are on the same price range & the grey hoyoma is a few hundred extra.

Hoping for some advise here... Thanks!

BTW, will cutting boards maybe 3/4" thick... MDF, plywood...

If you're going to ask me, I'd stay away from those products, better buy, Bosch, Makita, Skil, DeWalt a little bit pricey but in the long run it's better. Our tools is investment whether you're a pro or DIY.

I don't have experience on Hoyoma or Talon brand i'll just share my experience with my brand of jigsaw:

i bought an Ozito jigsaw for 700 pesos and i've been using it from 2010(iirc) until now, light duty lang naman kung gamitin pero minsan napapatagal ng gamit sa isang araw,,ginagamit ko din sa maninipis na metal like sa System unit ng computer para malagyan ng clear acrylic plastic sa side..at ngayon ay nakalagay na sya sa inverted jigsaw table at ginagamit ko na madalas pang cut ng kahoy..mas convenient sya gamitin..at wala naman akong naging problem..and for 700 bucks i am ready to replace it anytime..but maybe next time i'll go with Bosch if i have the budget.

Hi. I would advise you to spend a little bit more money and to buy grey Tahoma. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but it will serve you a better job. From my experience, its better to pay more and to get a technic of better quality. I am working in constructions, and at first I was using a cheap jigsaw, but it got broken really fast. After that, i found an article about the best jigsaw and what factors should be considered when buying such a tool. Thanks Explore Me Now for this post, i bought a good jigsaw that i am using for a long time, and it's still working perfectly.
