I only was able to try it out a while ago, it's quite simple to use. Here i tested it out on scrap.

And yet...no matter how simple an operation may be..if you don't concentrate on what your doing, you end up doing something stupid..

The Kreg jig is one very very good woodworking tool. What I like best about it is that it eliminates the need for glue to cure or dry. There are 3 or 4 Videos from Kreg and these are available in the net.

Funny thing is i just finished watching the dvd that came with it..masyado ata ako na excite..:mad:

At least the damage was superficial(no matter how bad it seems). I did not drill all the way through so the body is still ridgid.. i still can't forgive myself though..:(

In my excitement i forgot to raise the drill block to the proper height. I was drilling 1-1/2" stock..:(

You can probably clean the holes a bit and the epoxy it.

Jay,

Does Vise Grip have a similar clamp like those of kreg? The ones with disks instead of jaws for aligning the two pieces to be joined.

If you don't need very strong clamping pressure I suggest you get the auto adjusting Lockjaw Pliers with swivel pad. Then find a round plate and epoxy it to the top jaw. What you have now is better than the Kreg Clamp.
