Newbie here.

I'm looking for local options for buying a new table saw. I've looked at the Makita MLT100 (P33k-36k) but wanted to know if there are decent alternatives.

I used to mount my trusty Makita 5806B 7-1/4" circular saw on a DIY table, but decided to buy a decent table saw since I'll be using it more often (moved houses). Not interested in the Jet TS I see in the threads here.

Some woodworking-related tools I've acquired through the years:
Makita LS1040 10" miter saw
Makita 3601B router
Makita 5806B 7-1/4" circular saw
Makita 1900B 3-1/4" planer
Makita 9035 finishing sander
Dremel 3000
Ridgid WD1245EX0 12 gallon wet/dry vac
Makita HR2470 rotary hammer
Makita HP1620 hammer drill
Bosch GST65E jig saw
Bosch GWS 7-100 grinder

... and a bunch of automotive and shop hand tools.

The Bosch GTS10J is also available locally. Last time I heard the price is 33K, with gravity-rise stand.

And BTW, the reason why there is no thread for the MLT here is because one member who used to own one thought it was so bad its not worth reviewing. The saw was sold after only a couple of weeks.

Thanks for that very useful feedback. I'll check out that Bosch model. I usually buy my power tools from Fil-American in Aurora, Panda at Araneta or Gold Peak at Sampaloc. Any good Bosch dealers near Pasig/Shaw? Han's Tools is near but usually more expensive.
