I just moved into a new apartment and I want to build (most of) the furniture myself. Unfortunately, buying the required table saw has proven utterly frustrating. The Jet JBTS-10 is out of stock at pandatools (and expected to be back some time next year), the Bosch GTS 10 J has insufficient rip capacity for furniture, and the Makita MLT100 has quality problems.
Is anyone here perhaps selling the JBTS-10 (I'm prepared to pay a very good price) or willing to rent it out for a month or two (against an appropriate security deposit)?
Or does anyone have any suggestions where I can get a good table saw?

If you are limited by the 10J's rip capacity then I can offer you a solution.

I have the US version of the GTS10J, the GTS1031. I was able to increase the rip capacity by 22 inches (its now 40 inches) with the use of extension rails.

The rails of the 10J and 1031 are identical. If I'm not mistaken there are now five 10Js owners in the country that have upgraded their table saws.

I still have a couple of extension rail sets available.

That looks like an interesting solution. I only need a rip capacity of 25" in total, though. Would I even need additional support for that or would it be viable to just use the longer rails?

I assume you can use the included fence?
How much would you charge for the rails?

Addtional support... I can't say. Mine is supported because I also installed a router table on right side.

Yes, you can use the included fence.

You have two options on how to install the extension rails. You can weld it (you have to use a TIG machine, not the ordinary arc welder).

Or you can use a fabricated metal plate and bolts, using the extension table mounting as a reference.

Here's the ad for the rails

I don't have access to any metal workshop.

I also outsourced the aluminum welding to a friend in Laguna.
