Did they say if they could give a FINAL costing for us if we do place the order hence before it even gets shipped? I also suspect 60-90 days waiting time.

Sorry, I didn't ask or go into more detailed questioning on special ordering of DeWalt power tools. The person that I got passed to when I called the distributor was 'Mark Tan' and I think he said that the time could be about 3-4 months.

If you decide to call the distributor (Black & Decker Asia Pacific, 533-9694 to 95) and/or ask them at the Wilcon tools presentation that you mentioned (for DeWalt brand, April 29-30 at Ali Mall, according to the web page that you cited), let us know what you find out.

I recalled what Timber said that Black and Decker/Dewalt is in a state of ownership transition. I doubt we will get any "real" answers from them. But i will check anywway

sir timber,nakita ko yung thicknesser 2012nb mo,such great tool,i believe it increases your quality of work threefolds.i wonder,instead of going to a new ts(4001 series to be exact)i'll go for 2012nb muna or a cheaper thicknesser of same quality of work,since i already have a ts(not a good one i guess)will this be a good desicion on my part?i think the ts 4100 series is a nice upgrade,maybe she can wait .what do you think?

Yes, I think that is the better direction for now, People here seem to be getting good use of their Jet thicknesser (which is close to half the price of 2012NB).
the only thing I do not like is the price change on the 4100, the price is starting to increase and it might take several years again before it drops to this level.
try to make do first with what you have and if you feel that it is inadequate for what you do or doesn't keep you safe, then its time for an upgrade... :rolleyes:

done by a master tinsmith c/o my brother's auto repair shop.
made of light gauge steel.

nice work Doc, suggest you ask your latero to make the adaptor/reducer as well to fit the shop vac hose sizes...

naku eh ty lang kasi ito..ok sige yung papagawa ko me bayad na...ayaw kasi magpabayad...pag free time lang nya ginagawa.but i am satisfied with the work.kala ko nga di niya kaya..lahat yata ng kurbada eh balak gayahin! hehe

Very nicely done! Most latero just makes sure that the screw holes and major ports are in correct placement and most curves will be in "polygon" shape already. This is a indeed a neat work, looks like it came from a direct mold. Even the finishing is superb. If not mentioned, this would even be mistakenly considered as an ABS plastic counterpart.

The guy has skills!

Pwede bang magpagawa rin ako ng ganyan pero may embossed logo ng "Makita"? Pero pag-iipunan ko muna yung pagkakabitan ko nyan 😀

How come this 2012NB Dust Hood has a black attachment included? Does it still need to be fabricated too?

I think the black part is needed as well because it seems to be the adapter for the hood to the 2012NB's body as shown here in the previous images

If that is the case, sa next copy ay pwedeng built-in na yung adapter sa body para one piece na lang. Kelan ka papagawa Ninong Jay? 😀

Sobra mahal ng Makita 2012NB pero maganda talaga. The dust ports seems to be hard to get but there are still available from other suppliers. None the less if by chance we get lucky to have a 2012NB and no dust ports available anymore then we know we can fabricate.

This supplier has still 19 on stock. Others are on back order.
