My router table fence is warped. its good for most jobs but for precision work its crappy. Its a haphazard shopmade one

Could i have a peak at other folk's router fence (shopmade would be better for my intent)?

Also all the sheet materials i have are bowed slightly. Any EASY way to correct this during the assembly of the fence?

Cheers!

then added the suction vacuum attachment and added the guides, those are what ensures the right angles.... oh, and added MDF faces held by the homemade knobs...

Sorry Bee, I don't have pictures of my RT fence.

The T&G joint is a good idea with a fence like Timber's because he used solid wood. If you use engineering wood like plywood or particle board, warping is not so much a problem. To get a nice smooth finish I would put some laminate on the faces. Moldings along the edges are also a good idea.

My fence is plywood but it has 2 more braces at the back. Sorry I don't have a picture it by itself but you can see in hanging from the beam of my workshop along with a bunch of other jigs.

Found some pictures Bee. They were in one of my boat construction albums:

This one is with a secondary fence to use a straight bit to route at a 45 degree angle ...

I made these joints with it:

Re: may i have a peak at your router table fence?

finally a straight and squared fence (not complete) i tried rabbeting but i was too lazy to measure properly 🙁

I chanced upon a long piece of 1 x 4 that is practically perfectly straight in my pile.

Hence i butt jointed everything but double checking on all the pieces

hope you haven't glued it yet. cutting the hole for the bit is much easier apart...

Re: may i have a peak at your router table fence?

hmmm i glued it already 🙂 i used a backsaw for the straight cuts then will drill a pilot hole for the jigsaw to make the "top" cut. This is what i did for my first fence. i dont mind a not so prfect cutting hole

Make templates for the hole in the bottom and the side then use a router trimming bit. Use a hole saw first to make it easier ... or just leave it at that.
