and wiping the excess of after 10 minutes. then I started to lay it out and started the glue up.

waiting to start on the fence and switch (when I acquire them), it keeps a small footprint when not in use.

bro, won't the enclosed box cause ventilation problem to your router? I'm planning to house the electric motor of my bandsaw in a similar enclosure.

Re: my new (portable) router table build (52k warning)

if you would run the motor for hours at a time, Yes it would be a concern. but I normally use the rt for an hour or less with breaks in between and have never had concerns about it. the Triton is faily warm but not hot. my previous router (maktec) though tends to heat faster. I have solved the problem by placing a DC (dust control) which keeps a constant air circulation on the enclosure.

I really appreciate your patience in building this.

BTW, when I read the title, I thought you were referring to wired/wireless routers and wondered why anyone would want to build a *table* for their router! 😉

Oh, i see. If i can find 4 more 2ft lengths of the same C-bars as the frame, I would rather extend the legs in my original plan so that the bandsaw table will sit even higher and the motor will have no problem about heating up in continious use. Your RT is truly portable. If I were into even casual WW I would certainly build one like it.

portable it is, but quite heavy too. that is the problem with well built things. but if it is worth doing, it is worth doing well.

well, I got a start on the fence. I tongue and grooved the mating pieces, that way they align properly. cut the mouth and started the lay out.

this is how it would more or less look like.

cut the opening on the front face on the scrollsaw. with the height 1/4" higher than my tallest router bit and is 1/2" wider than my widest bit.

still lots to do on it, but it is coming to life.

drilled the holes for the screw slots.

and cut the slots on the RT.

glue time...

squared on the TS, sanded and stabilized it with sanding sealer.

Re: my new (portable) router table build (52k warning)

got some time in my hands and I cleaned up the drawers and mounted them on the full extensions into the cabinet.

of course the open shot. slides very nice and smooth. I badly need these space for tool storage.

priority is the router bit tray, since I sold my previous rt, my router bits are all around. need to organize them.

will still be making the drawer division just to keep the tools in order, and of course the three doors and router table switch... coming soon...

Outstanding work as usual. I keep kicking myself that I should organize my bits but I never get around to doing it.

Thank you Incc... it is an easy route bit holder to make.

started to make the switch unit for the rt. bought myself a switch and cut the recess off the front side of my rt.

then I went to look for the paddle material. scrap would do fine, but I want it hardwood.

it is nothing special, just a dense tanguille that would work. I laid out the cuts and immediately cut it on the scrollsaw. and a little roundover on the rt.

then I tried my hand on a little chisel work until I was at this point.
