My first try to post with pic.
Here's my 15 year old Black & Decker plunge router.
With a max speed of 30,000RPM I always have burned workpiece, plywood or lumber:mad:. Any suggestion to avoid it will be highly appreciated.
TIA.

My new acquisitions.
Thicknesser/Planer nakuha ng P5,500, mura na ba ang presyo na to sa ngayon?
Ang table saw na P5,500 din ang kuha ko.

1.observe your feed rate..too slow and you will burn the piece.
2.dull blades can produce burn marks.

Re: My tools
Bro, tama ba ang nakita ko na 50/60Hz ung thicknesser? How about ung TS, 50/60Hz din ba? Where did you get those?
Re: My tools
Thanks for the tip, i guess i also need new bits.
Re: My tools
sir tanong lang po... san nyo nabili yung thicknesser nyo?
Re: My tools
I also have that thicknesser and it works great. sadly, I ran it to a nail that made my blade a littler bit damage but still good and usable. pyth may already have that, he is one of the very good member here. just ask him.
Re: My tools
mga brad, 50-60hz nga pala yan... you dont have to worry about it, actually, if you are not into industrial kind of work or let say, weekend woodworker lang, then those 50hz are not bad at all compare to price to funtionality difference.
just my 2 cents lng po. thnx

when you say not industrial and weekend woodworker lang, does it mean it will work well if you run those machine for three hours straight? and if the 50/60hz are available, why would you bother with the 50hz only?
between the 50Hz and the 50/60Hz machines how much value would you get? or what is the price difference anyway? baka kasi you save 1K or less only and have a machine that you work on instead of one that works for you. sorry elexcsis, seems like bad recommendation to me... (nothing personal though).

Re: My tools
no problem timber, it was just my opinion and I know its not for everyone but maybe I should have explained a little bit more. (maybe the alcohol got me off to bed last night) :)..
Here goes.. I refer weekend woodworker for those who can only work on day off, and on those days, Its hard to squeezed everything like drinking, planning, buying materials and working on it and using those tools are maybe limited. I meant industrial if those were used 7days a week.
There are Ryobi that were 50hz by design and I know they are not design for 60hz like in our country. But in principle, the motor will just run a bit faster (about 20%). If you run it non-stop it will surely die, but if you run it for just a few minutes then I believe it will not be that much of a problem. Any equipment that are abuse is as bad as those low quality. There are lots of Ryobi selling out in the market that are 50hz and there are of course Japan made,60hz and quality tools but they are expensive. Even China made maktec were also expensive. From my research, the ryobi are about 30% to 50% cheaper (that sometimes translate to 3k to 7k difference) than those counter part China made. I am not saying that I dont like those expensive tools because I am if I have the fund, and I am not also saying that I strongly recommend 50hz because it depends on the usage. What I am trying to impart is that those 50hz are not bad at all if you use it correctly, and if you are on tight budget for tools. Hope this helps..

both sides naman ang talim ng blade sir elexcis, baliktarin mo lang muna at good as new na ulit ang blade mo. maliban na lang kung yung second side na ang nasira mo sa pako.:p
