Re: Need a new TS blade
they are Japan made NOS that Mayon sells, they are pretty decent and is what I use for my 8" CS... but since you have a P410 coming, that should be hard to beat... (actually I got one coming too) naiingit ako sa yo eh
wahaw!!!

I really love the red blades...i am fully satisfied with a 24 tooth ripping diablo..though the cheapest but certainly not to be equated with low quality.

The Forrest remains to be a dream.

Re: Need a new TS blade

Doc, I believe that a lot are mixed up which is better between the P410 and the WWII, seems both have a following and are top notch... from what I understand (since I have none of each) that the Freud is very comparable already to the highly praised Forrest...

Re: Need a new TS blade

hey willy!

so that FLAI is another Italian brand? Freud is manufactured in Italy so i guess it should be good as well...

but i dont have any idea where we can source it locally.

baka malibot ka this year sa Italy eh get me one!

"V" Remember FLAI? bought a bunch of blades for my use and guess what? Man these things are great. I love how it cuts like a hot knife on butter and leaves a certain sheen on the workpiece due it's smooth cut. we barely hand plane anymore. imagine that on your 4100.......hmmm...... Oh I forgot,...............................................................................that's how quiet it is.:p Plus, $ 88.00 lang at availible pa locally;)

Re: Need a new TS blade

i ordered another combi freud eh and its coming my way sometime later..

can you post a pic of that FLAI? Bosch has a multicut 80 tooth blade available locally at around 2K but the bore is 1" and the package didnt have an adapter to fit the 5/8" spindle of the 4100.

and please can you gauge the kerf for me? thanks..

i am using a 24 teeth ripping diablo..and sometimes its a hassle to change blades i also use it to cross cut and it works just fine..the carbide edge until this time is still sharp..though i havent fed salvaged lumber into the 4100...just to make sure.

Re: Need a new TS blade

Sure thing Doc, I plan to post a full review of this blade anyway. I'm so excited of the possibilities of this blade. I've used many types in my so many years in the biz and i've never seen anything like it. So quiet yet so efficient. The arbor size is indeed 30mm but the ring adapter is up to only 25mm. guess you have to fashion special rings for it.
