Good day!

I just broke my first not so good jigsaw. (Skill brand) after cutting 2 pcs of 2x12x4 of tanguille wood into three square pieces. Nakakahinayang kasi ilang beses lang then mahina and maingay na sya... (Newbie pa ako that time and 2k lang yung jigsaw nun)

Any suggestion anong brand ng jigsaw maganda. (For heavy duty use and for long term investment na.) budget ko mga 9-10k.. near Paranaque or laspinas mabibili?

Thanks!!

Re: Need suggestions on buying jigsaw.

buy a Bosch GST-PBE, around 7-8K...

the E has variable speed...(versus the GST-PB)

ito, till death do us part na kayo niyan!

or a Metabo....

or a Festool

Re: Need suggestions on buying jigsaw.

Is the Bosch GST-PBE a good buy for a weekend handyman newbie lang? Mostly small home projects lang using plywood or plastic materials. May cheaper brand na tama Lang for a newbie? Thank you.

Re: Need suggestions on buying jigsaw.

Hindi po ba ok yung Skil? I'm a beginner and I was planning to buy a Skil jigsaw since I only have a mid-range budget. Is Black and Decker ok? Most of my projects I will be working on wood and rarely metal materials.

Re: Need suggestions on buying jigsaw.

May I suggest, if you have a mid-range budget, tago mo pa and then save some more money to be able to buy the heavy duty type of jigsaw like
Makita, Bosch or DeWalt or Metabo, and don't be guilty for buying some expensive power tools, these are tested brands and for sure you will be
assured of quality and longevity.

You won't be sorry for getting a good quality brand that can tackle any heavy duty materials. :cool01:

Thank you sir sa suggestion niyo. Maybe a little more patience and savings to get the best talaga. Tutal malapit na din xmas, baka magka-sale na yung brands na yon 🙂

My Skil jigsaw is 14yrs old na still working. Binili ko sya bago pa yata maging under ng Bosch ang Skil.

mga sir, follow up question lng. Decided na kasi ako bumili ng Bosch or Makita. Pero budget ko is pang basic model nila like ung Bosch GST 65. for plywood cutting lng naman and small solid wood cutting. will it do the job?

The variable speed Bosch GST 65 "E" is only P200-P300 more than GST 65. It's useful enough for 1/4"-3/4" plywood. I suggest you experiment with different kinds of blades. They come in so many types (basic, clean, speed, curved/straight, etc) but it really is helpful to have different kinds on hand. For jigsaw blades I go to Han's Tools since they have a variety and you can buy individual blades (~P80).
