i still havent decided if i will get this or not.

i have seen some folks using a scissor jack as a lifter for their router.

Any body have ideas for a simple router lift?

Re: router raizer, is it worth it?

scissor jacks should be cheaper for you, just add a sheet of ply to protect your router.
forgive me but spending 80 USD for another kit to upgrade your rt would be somewhat expensive since you will have a hard time disposing that if you decide to change. the 3612C is a great router, but becomes an ordinary one when mounted on the table.
also moving the router from the rt to handheld is a pain in the bu++.... I strongly suggest to get a dedicated router for the rt... the Triton seems to perform very well, you can even ask chisel (he is very happy he even wants to kiss me, can you imagine?:p) that should cut set up time to a minimum...

http://www.amazon.com/Grizzly-G0555-Ultimate-14%2522-Bandsaw/dp/B0000DD0AC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1293945202&sr=8-1

Does anyone in the forum have a 14" bandsaw with 6" clearance.

Re: router raizer, is it worth it?

@timber,

but i have the makita 3621 for my plunge cuts...which means i will dedicate the 3612C for table use...somehow, the router extension will ease the set ups.

@bee,

sayang yung bandsaw sa hmr, new! just like the grizzly GO55 three months ago yata sold at 15K...

i always think of a bandsaw for resawing 2 x 4's for my drawers...i do not fancy cabriole legs naman kasi...but sometime in the past i was dreaming of making a queen anne with a ball and claw foot.

tama na sa akin yung 14" resaw siguro.but i am not going to get the torq available locally.

Re: router raizer, is it worth it?

Yeah Doc, i read the post about the bandsaw from hmr sayang. I wanted the bandsaw for resawing lang din talaga.

Doc, how do you manage the height adjusmen for the 3612c? . I might just use a scissor jack eh. Kaso yung rt plate ko naka patong lang sa rt table . Hindi siya naka sccrewed bolt hehe kaya nung ni try ko siya with the scissor jack, umangat yung buo hahaha. Wala kasing provision for screw/bolt in place. Wierd rt plate. Well i guess its time for me to drill some holes

same conventional way of backbreaking below the table adjustment...perhaps the router extension will ease the trouble.i dont have plans to demote the 3612c for plunge jobs.its just perfect for me to handle the biggest bits.

btw, what i have is a flimsy phenolic rosseau router plate..i am waiting for the arrival of the aluminum incra together with some stuff sa 3rd online orders.

let me see the scissors jack mod?!
