Re: Ryobi random orbital sander comments.
My personal experience, I try to stay away from Ryobi brand now. Most of my power tools all started with that brand. It doesn't have enough power and it doesn't last long.
Re: Ryobi random orbital sander comments.
Salamat po sa advised, anyway I'm shooting for the Bosch random orbital sander its on sale right now.
Re: Ryobi random orbital sander comments.
I started with this Ryobi sander:
After about a year of infrequent use, it stopped spinning. The motor runs but, after opening it up, found that the gears broke. By that time I have already bough t boxes of 6-inch velcro-backed sandpaper of different grits. So that my sandpaper investment won't go to waste, I got another one, the new green version:
I have it for over a year now and it's still working. I don't run it at full speed, something I learned in this forum about Ryobi's. They're meant to run on 50Hz but, because our outlets supply 60Hz, you end up runnign the motor 20% faster. Throttling down the speed seems to prolong the life of the sander.
Today, I also have the Bosch sander:
This is a gem. It's light, quiet, and really traps the dust. Your decision to get the Bosch is a good one.
Make sure you get lots of sandpaper. I got mine from Amazon. But, I think, Mirkas are locally avaiable. Ask Bosch as they once invited the suppliers in a training session we had with them.
