Re: SEP USA Router

I cannot see any website of the SEP router company thus I would assume it is a rebadged router made in China and rebadged to the SEP USA logo.

Instead of a meetup, try the router on the seller's place to get a hold of the router. Bring test wood and bits to see how it feels. Not sure if 12mm router bits are abundant to check on the availability first as the 12mm is not exactly 1/2" and may have slight clearance issue that may or may not affect collet holding performance.

IMO, that would be the better way of checking if it is worth buying. You may even ask the seller a demo.

Re: SEP USA Router

If it was me I'd be more confident with a 2nd hand Ryobi router that can be bought in the 2K-2.5K range.

Or spend couple of thousand more and you'll have a brand new Maktec or Skill router.
