This is my third shopbuilt power tool, its a poorman's jointer. I'm almost done with this build that I started in the middle of the 6 dining chairs project so I'm posting now the WIPs pics.
This jointer was inspired by [COLOR="Blue"][COLOR="Blue"]Wandel's Jointer.
This is the plan.
I got the motor and the cutter head from one of these Thicknessers.
and these are the essential parts.

here's the body with the cutterhead assembly fitted to the customized pillow blocks ordered from a machine shop. The woods are Australian Pine from old Meralco Posts at P40/bf.
motor installed.
new microV belt installed.
the cutting depth adjuster.

the infeed and outfeed tables.
the gap between tables is just enough for the blade adjustment guide to fit in.
checking if the tables are coplanar at zero cutting size.

the table tops are lined with 1.5mm stainless sheets.
This has been tested several times and happy with the results. I hope i can finish tomorrow the cover for the belt, the fence, and the blade guard/cover and be able to upload video on youtube.

ang kaya ko manira ng gamit....:chop:
ang laking jointer nyan brad...
may planer/thicknesser ka na, you can work with wood to it's trueness.
kulang nalang bandsaw...

bro the stainless sheet is P250 per kilo here in rizal avenue kalookan. Each sheet weighed 2kilos so i paid p1k for both. Pwedeng custom size dami kasing gumagawa dito ng bakery equipments.

Very nice work Armand, it takes a lot of skills to craft but it takes a lot of courage to take the road less traveled. May house for rent malapit sa amin, baka gusto mo lumipat. :rofl:
