wala bro but i have seen quite a number of good reviews about the LS1013 since its introduction many years ago...they were simply satisfied with the tool..only that i havent made my own review..but of course, with the price...you get what you paid for this brute.

there is just one thing that a cms or scms will need and this matters the most..i.e....repeatable accuracy.

That's more than very good enough for a SCMS. However I would have preferred a Freud Blade instead of Dewalt. I also have that yellow blade and are good only for low end saw like mine.

When high accuracy enters the equation then I don't think an entry level SCMS no matter how good it looks will keep up in the long run.

Secondly when cutting wider and longer pieces means the wood will be heavy and I would prefer a sturdier saw body / fence like yours. Ouch ang sakit sa bulsa ......:)

that is a 60 tooth blade dewalt saw made in china...

i would have preferred a better blade but i got this blade (combo with a 32 teeth blade) at a steal of just 500 bucks elseewhere.

the blade is still fine upto now but i cant say it will last when i cut really hard red lauans for a thicknesser mobile base very soon.

recently i saw a 10 inch 120 tooth bosch multicut blade at just around 1800 bucks but the arbor is 30mm! two reducer rings were included but to 7/8" only..

can you point to me a store selling reducer rings from 30mm to 5/8"?

I got the combo too. Mine is 60 tooth Dewalt and the 32 tooth went to Timber. It cuts ok and last well but there are better ones.

Freud ( Italy ) is still my choice and won't even touch any other blade. The highest end ones like Woodworker II however are too expensive for me already.

it is true that another bonus of the slide cms is the ability to gang rip 2-3 twelve incher boards at just one whack! the 4100 would be envious about this.hehe

sometime in the past, i was able to cross cut a 24" plyboard with that scms...just flipped the board after the first cut, align the blade then slide cut.done..

my only problem with cms or scms is the dust!

even with a dust port hooked to a vac, the floor will still be littered with fine saw dusts.

you may notice that dust problem is never mentioned in the reviews.

so wait till the time comes when they have solved this problem.

and that will be revolutionary.

i only have a 24 teeth ripping freud diablo fitted to the 4100 and yes it has ripped successfully a number of 2 x 4s already, soft and hardwoods but the carbides are still scary sharp...plus the 4100 although rated at 4HP maximum performed better with that thin kerf red blade.

yes perhaps since the cms is designed to move sideways for compound cuts, it will need a big dust shroud to control the fine dust flying here and there

i saw a build where a hanging dust box cradle is made to support the cms but not the scms...id like to modify this but my mind is too busy right now with other things.

temporarily, my scms sits on the bosch ts3000 (originally came with the 4100)

but the gravity rise stand is real space consumer..i want to fix the smcs at the foot of the workbench..the workbench becoming the support table on the left side and need to make the mobile base for the slide feature.

i am interested in the non thru cuts of the 3160. Something most scms dont have, and till now i only thought a radial arm saw could only do.
