Re: table saw router station
It would really depend on how wide the plate would be Workbench. I used 6 mm plate before but the span was too wide so there was some sag. Eventually, I just replaced the top with a solid one, no plate. A 150 mm diameter hole covered with 12 mm thick acrylic plate should be fine but you'd loose a lot of cutting depth. Best to keep it at 6 mm with as small a hole as practical.
Phenolic is solid material but it tends to chip unlike aluminum. Best would be an aluminum plate with a lift :).
Re: table saw router station

thanks Jay for the vote of confidence, but you know what, the Maktec worked fine when I had it, my only concern was heat, not very hot, but hot. and while that jig looks crude (dahil homemade lang kasi) it worked and I was able to do dovetailed boxes with it and a local dovetail bit...

this was how it was before.. well sort off... plus wheels 🙂
Re: table saw router station
saves me from running back and forth when changing bits
i forgot to cover the underneath of the ts (with some sort of way to redirect saw dust) coz its all collecting in the drawer hahahahah
Re: table saw router station
i also took out the wheels since the rubber caster wheels were cracking. I never moved this anymore anyway
