14,500 bought at hanstools. Reason? a guaranteed 3 months warranty and i was amazed they had a scrap wood for me to run it throigh.... funny thing was the sales rep was about to do it on my behalf. He retracted the blade guard and was about the place the stock on top of the blade in the middle of the cutting width of the blade and i went STOP!!!!!! 🙂 so many blood splattering or blunt forced trauma scenario flashed before my eyes.

As with chiwanese tools the assembly has some issues but was resolved in the shop. The blade barrel was scraping at an aluminum guard inside the machine, i think its the guard that directs shavings to the dust port.

I was just there Bee at around 12. It was still there I think ... either you came after me or they had another on stock!?

Looked pretty solid to me though to be honest I did not like the fence.

They use a makita planer blade. I see the blade in wilcon

Fence is a little on the short side, can be beveled. Can probably fit a larger sacrificial fence, over the existing one for more height

cant do. its only 6" wide. And i have bad news.

The cutter head is stuck. good thing it didnt fry the motor. it was the same problem we had in the store. But in the store we didnt run it we just rolled the cutter head to see.

I am returning this... sigh

bad beat bro. if you can refund it, it would be better, I can go with you if you are interested in a used surplus jointer(either a Japan or Taiwan made) and very ,very heavy. Hamada ang brand iirc.... it is in Sta. Ana only.

the asking was 18K back then, not really sure it is still available, but if it is, I reckon at least 4 people should bring them to your vehicle...

hmmmm, tool hunting trip... yep, that would be fun, maybe we can schedule a trip to Taytay too (wood source, reclaimed and priced well) if I am not mistaken, we'll have to call workbench...
