hi guys,

ask ko lang po if how to check the trueness of the Try Square /combi square Right angle?

any tips or maybe a tool to check it first before buying?

any good brands that are tried and tested na ?

To check a try square for trueness, place the try square on a straight board, draw a line, flip the try square over, and check against the line. Any difference represents twice the error of the square.

tried and tested? Starrett po... available locally for around 11k.
If you need a cheaper option, I highly recommend a Soba engineering square around 520 and up depending on size (not a combination sq.) which is available at the same store as the starrett which is sa Panda.

If you want to invest in a keeper then check Mitutoyo Combination squares as well . Very very good quality.

Now checking the square

First 4 lines of Empire Combi Square then flip the Empire Combi Square and draw another line on top on the first 4 lines.

Here is the comparison of over Kapro Combi Square. This one is really out of square. No time to fine tune it. I'm just using the kapro steel rule metric measurement on blade on Empire combi square.
