Re: MORRIS CHAIR, building a classic.

good job on the upholstery! that would be a good thing to learn to compliment woodworking..

thanks moji, i gave credit to the swmbo in the upholstery, actually she gave the encouragement

of doing this, and because of her sewing hobby, the job is done well.

Re: MORRIS CHAIR, building a classic.

Nice upholstery. Never knew it was just an easy stapling job. Or, perhaps, you make it look so easy!

tomorrow will be the consruction of the back seat upholster.

Sayang naman! You are going to cover those ingenously crafted curved back slats with upholstery. Maybe, when you finally set it in your room, you should make it face backwards para kita! 😎

Re: MORRIS CHAIR, building a classic.

docV,

thanks doc, pang-retirement piece na to, maganda na yung handa ka, when the time comes

na nirarayuma na...:p

thanks very much!

balarila,

on a dilemma on covering the back seat

the back seat upholstery naman is removable, if someone wants to lay flat on it with or

without the cushion is seems ok.

on the upholstery side, the job is pretty basic, it's like gift wrapping a piece of box, with a little

bit of pulling the fabrics, and stapling it to the wood frame, and of course with swmbo's

touch...

got your advice on setting up the chair...;)

thanks very much...

Jonathan,

Heirloom piece lang yan para sa ngayon. Maybe next week or next month makakita ng bagong kahoy. Next step - Matching pair ng morris chair, pagkatapos, matching craftsman sofa. Umpisa pa lang yan. You'll probably never stop trying to improve on previous builds with or without rayuma! Mukang mapupuno bahay mo ng furniture mo.

ha ha ha !!!:p thanks workbench, yung mga furniture namin ay ready na for retirement, that's

the reason why i'm into building this chair, planning to build 1 more, and a loveseat or 2 0r 3

seater, and a matching footstool and place it at the music room for the whole family at times

of bonding.

the furniture that we have are very substandard, sometimes in comfort and sometimes in

build. this one i build hope to last...
